Radiological approach for pancreatic cystic lesions

Abstract

Background: Pancreatic cystic lesions are usually incidental finding which showed increase prevalence due to increase of the number of CT and MRI scans, they can be benign, malignant or pre-malignant cysts.

Pancreatic cyst can occur post to inflammation of the pancreas (pseudocyst) or part of systemic congenital disease such as (Von Hippel Lindau syndrome).

Aim: To evaluate the radiological characteristics of different pancreatic cysts and to differentiate between benign and malignant or potentially pre-malignant cystic lesions.

Method: Our study will collect data and reports of patients with pancreatic cystic lesions at King Hussein Medical Center, Amman Jordan during the 2023-2024 period.
